Buying a home could be the largest financial transaction you will ever make, so it is essential you look for a experienced lender or broker that will offer sound advice, many options and guide you every step of the way.

It is recommended that buyers use the services of mortgage lenders or brokers in the area where the property being purchased is located. Many buyers, particularly those purchasing vacation homes, like to use the loan services located in their hometown. Although this could be convenient for handling your initial application, it can cause many more problems during the course of the loan process.

The mortgage lender and broker need to work closely with the escrow company and title insurance company. When you use the services of an out-of-area lender, it makes communication with the escrow and title insurance company more difficult. In addition, an out-of-area lender may have a difficult time obtaining an appraisal in a timely manner.
